WE43 High-Temperature Rare Earth Magnesium Alloy: Superior Mechanical Performance up to 250°C with Cost Efficiency

Time : 2025-04-23Hits : 71

WE43 stands as one of the most successful commercially developed rare earth magnesium alloys, capable of operating at temperatures up to 250°C. It delivers exceptional room- and high-temperature mechanical properties while maintaining a balanced cost structure. Classified as a Mg-RE alloy, "W" represents the element yttrium (Y), "E" denotes rare earth elements, "4" indicates the weight percentage of Y, and "3" signifies the total weight percentage of additional rare earth elements. The typical composition of WE43 is Mg-4%Y-3.3%RE (Nd, Gd)-0.5%Zr.
